Our group studies the higher-level spatial organization of the nucleus
and how it controls chromatin architecture and gene activation across the cell cycle. Spatial organization is achieved through compartmentalization of fundamental processes, including DNA replication, transcription, RNA processing, and DNA repair. By integrating powerful microscopy approaches with cutting-edge sequencing technologies we uncover the elegant and dynamic mechanisms coupling chromatin organization to cell cycle transition to safeguard genome function and integrity. We are funded by generous grants from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. |
